Ashish Gupta began his career at a time when career counseling in India was virtually nonexistent as a profession. Students and parents were left to navigate a complex, high-stakes education landscape entirely on their own, guided only by rumor, rank, and the choices of neighbors.
He set out to change that. Working with schools, students, and parents across India, he developed a systematic, evidence-based approach to career guidance rooted in understanding the individual, not just the market. That work eventually became the CARVE Method, a framework for matching a student's Character, Aptitude, Role models, Values, and Environment to the right career direction.
Over the next decade, he wrote 23 books on careers, education, and student development, built a network of over 1,000 counselors, and delivered programs at hundreds of schools across India, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
Today, Ashish works directly with students at critical junctures, from Class 9 through postgraduate, helping them move from confusion to clarity with structured frameworks, honest conversations, and practical plans.
He is based in Bhopal and works with families and institutions across India. His books are widely used in school counseling programs and are available on all major platforms.
